Ragamuffin

The RagaMuffin is a large, plush semi-longhaired cat closely related to the Ragdoll — a sweet-natured lap cat bred in a wide range of colours and patterns.

History

It shares its origins with the Ragdoll and was developed as a separate breed to broaden the colours and patterns permitted, while keeping the docile, affectionate temperament. The result is a big, cuddly cat with a soft, rabbit-like coat.

Temperament

The breed is known for being docile, affectionate and people-oriented — a relaxed cat that often goes limp when held, follows its people about and is patient with children and other pets. It is gentle, undemanding company.

Care

The semi-long coat is silky and mats less than some longhairs, but still needs regular brushing. A placid indoor cat, it suits a calm home and steady company.

Health
