Kunma Dog

The Kunma is a Chinese hunting dog kept by communities in the south-west, and one of the country's least documented native types.

History

It has been used as a hunting and farm dog in the mountainous south-west of China, maintained by rural households rather than by any breed organisation. Written records are thin and the population is small.

Temperament

The breed is reported to be alert, hardy and closely bonded to its household, with the independence of a dog expected to work without instruction.
