Singapura

The Singapura is among the smallest of domestic cat breeds — a delicate, big-eyed cat with a warm ticked coat, tracing to the street cats of Singapore.

History

It was developed from cats brought from Singapore, where free-roaming cats of the type were known as "drain cats", and refined in the United States into a recognised breed. Its small size and sepia-toned ticked coat are its defining features.

Temperament

The breed is known for being affectionate, curious and lively — a people-oriented cat that involves itself in everything and stays playful and inquisitive. It seeks out company and warmth.

Care

The short, fine coat is easy to keep with occasional grooming. A small, social cat, it wants involvement and does poorly ignored.

Health
