Gull Dong

The Gull Dong is a Pakistani crossbred guarding dog, made from the Gull Terr and the Bully Kutta.

History

It was bred in the Punjab to combine the size of the mastiff with the drive of the bull terrier type, and it is kept as a guarding dog. It is also used in dog fighting in parts of the region, which is illegal, and that use has shaped a good deal of the breeding.

Temperament

The breed is known for being powerful, territorial and intensely loyal to its handler, with very low tolerance of strange dogs.

Care and training

It needs space, genuinely secure boundaries, sustained socialising and an experienced owner. It is not a household beginner's dog under any reading.

Health
